Dodge has taken a revolutionary step: the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona marks the beginning of a new era for the legendary muscle cars. Featuring a 400-volt powertrain and a 100.5 kW battery, the new Charger is Dodge's first all-electric muscle car.
Both R/T and Scat Pack trims boast a maximum power output of 335 horsepower (250 kW) from each front and rear electric module, for a total output of 670 horsepower (500 kW). It is stated that the car will accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, and will cover a quarter mile (~402 m) in approximately 11.5 seconds.
For those who are not ready to switch to an electric vehicle, the new Dodge Charger will offer classic options. There will be a 550-horsepower Dodge Charger SIXPACK H.O. equipped with the 3.0-liter Twin Turbo Hurricane High Output engine or the standard 420-horsepower Dodge Charger SIXPACK S.O. Both options will receive all-wheel drive as standard.
Production of the electric Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack and Dodge Charger Daytona R/T two-door coupes will begin in mid-2024. The two-door gasoline Dodge Charger SIXPACK will begin production in the first quarter of 2025. Prices have not yet been announced.
