The introduction of the 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor marks the first time when a high-performance, off-road-focused variant of the Ranger will be available in the US.
Like the Ford Bronco Raptor and Ford F-150 Raptor, the heart of the 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor lies beneath a more aggressive body. The Ranger Raptor received a beefed up suspension, 2.5-inch Fox Live Valve internal bypass shocks. The new Ranger Raptor also features a heavy duty frame with reinforced front rails, front shocks, rear shock brackets and mounting points.
In terms of power, the 2024 Ford Ranger has a twin-turbo Ford 3.0L V6 EcoBoost engine rated at 405 horsepower and 583 Nm of torque, a 10-speed automatic transmission, an electronically controlled two-speed transfer case, as well as lockable front and rear differentials. Under the bottom, skid plates protect the front end, engine, transfer case and fuel tank.
Technological features include 360-degree off-road front-facing camera (same as in Bronco Raptor), class-exclusive Pro Trailer Backup Assist, and Trail Control for easier low-speed maneuvering. Driving Modes: Normal, Tow/Haul, Sport, Slippery, Off-Road, Rock Crawling and Baja, while the truck's active exhaust has four settings of its own: Quiet, Normal, Sport and Baja.
The 2024 Ford Ranger will go on sale in late summer, with order banks opening in late May. It will be possible to buy a Ford Ranger Raptor from the USA at a starting price of $56,960.
