Ram trucks are gaining popularity all over the world and Stellantis is wasting no time capitalizing on it. Ram will release Rampage starting in the Brazilian market, which is filled with small pickup trucks. Detailed information about the new product includes engines, transmissions, acceleration, payload and prices. Below is all the latest and official information about the new Ram Rampage truck, which is expected to eventually also be sold in the US and Canadian markets.
Under the hood of the Ram Rampage is a base 2.0L Diesel Multijet (170 hp and 379 Nm) found in R/T, Rebel and Laramie trims. The second option – 2.0L four-cylinder Hurricane (272 hp and 400 Nm, better numbers than Ford Maverick). Both options are all-wheel drive and work with a 9-speed gearbox. Acceleration to 100 km/h will be 6.9 s for Ram Rampage R/T and 7.1 s for Rebel and Laramie trims.
The diesel Rampage is capable of carrying up to 1015 kg of cargo, when choosing the Hurricane 4 — up to 750 kg. The numbers are roughly comparable to the electric Ford F-150 Lightning. As for the main overall dimensions: length 5028 mm, width 1886 mm, height 1780 mm and wheelbase 2994 mm.
The interior of the new Rampage features a 10.3" digital cluster and a 12.3" Uconnect multimedia hub. There is Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charger called RamCharger, 6 USB ports (3 of them are type-C), as well as the ability to simultaneously pair two smartphones via Bluetooth.
Prices for the Rampage Rebel in Brazil start at $50,108 for the diesel, petrol option starting at $52,300. Rampage R/T with Hurricane 4 starts at $56,480. Ram Rampage will be available in Brazil in August, no US release date announced yet.
