Ram introduced not only the TRX replacement, the Ram 1500 RHO, but also the new Warlock and Rebel X. Power for both trims comes from a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine that produces 420 hp. and torque 635 Nm. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The Ram 1500 Rebel X is based on the standard Rebel model and celebrates 10 years of off-road trim. The special edition comes with the Rebel Level 2 equipment group, which includes a power liftgate, panoramic roof and a 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment system. Other features include a heated steering wheel, heated front and rear seats, and 19-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system. Adds a 1" lift kit, a softer rear sway bar and Bilstein shocks. The model also comes with 17-inch wheels and 33-inch off-road tires.
In addition to additional equipment, the Rebel X is equipped with several exclusive features, including off-road cruise control. Ram says it "reads the terrain in front of the truck hundreds of times per second to adjust the suspension and control the power steering." Leather front seats with X logos and red accents and a center console badge commemorating the Rebel's 10th anniversary are responsible for the uniqueness, but if that's not enough, customers can get an exclusive Mojave Sand paint job. Ram 1500 Rebel X starts at $66,190.
The Ram 1500 Warlock is an entry-level off-road pickup truck that starts at $56,255. That puts it between the Big Horn and Laramie trims. Considering it costs nearly $10,000 less than the Ram 1500 Rebel, it's no surprise that the truck has an understated design. Meanwhile, the Warlock features a black grille with matching “RAM” badge, black 18-inch wheels and powder-coated bumpers. Completing the design are LED headlights, tow hooks and a dual exhaust system with black tips. The Warlock features Bilstein shocks and a 1-inch lift. The model also features skid plates and an electronic locking rear differential. Warlock hood and bed graphics are also available.
