The heavy-duty Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks have received major updates. In addition to the new 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission, the previously announced upgrade was received by the 6.7L Cummins diesel. The engine is now available for any trim level and has become more powerful: 430 hp and 1,458 Nm. You can also choose the proven 6.4L Hemi V8 with 405 hp and 582 Nm.
The appearance has also been updated: the design of the front end and thin LED headlights. Inside, there's a 14.5" center monitor, a 12.3" driver display, and a 10.3" passenger screen. Adaptive cruise control, all-round visibility, and lane-keeping assist are standard. The Ram Heavy Duty's maximum towing capacity is now 36,500 pounds.
The lineup includes the Tradesman, Lone Star, Big Horn, Laramie, Power Wagon, Limited Longhorn, Limited, and Rebel trim levels. The new Ram HD starts at $47,560 for the 2500 and $48,565 for the 3500.
