Extreme 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R: Supercharged 700hp V8, Shelby GT500 power

The legendary 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R is here. After months of waiting, the most powerful Raptor has been officially announced, powered by a 700-horsepower supercharged V8 engine from the Mustang Shelby GT500, along with other updates.
At the heart of the Raptor R there is a new powertrain. For the first time since 2014, this pickup truck has eight cylinders under the hood. But it's not just a V-8. This is the same supercharged 5.2-liter engine from the Mustang Shelby GT500, but the power figures are slightly different: 700 hp and 867 Nm of torque for the Raptor R. The 10-speed automatic transmission has been recalibrated and features a new heavy duty torque converter.
The Raptor R gets 37-inch Raptor BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires and Fox Live Valve shocks with stiffer front spring rates in comparison to standard Raptor. There are orange accents throughout the exterior, including the R badge on the grille, hood and tailgate. On the rear fenders there is a special graphics package. Inside, Recaro seats upholstered in leather and alcantara.
The 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R price starts at $109,145. That's about $27,000 more than the '22 Raptor with the 37-inch tire package, which starts at $81,705 MSRP. Production of the new Raptor R will start in the fall of 2022.
